Good Food Ireland Food Shop of the Year 2013/14
Welcome to Urru Culinary Store. West Cork is lovely to visit at any time of year and we happily help you to stock up for short or longer breaks with local top quality foods that provide a memorable taste of West Cork and the Wild Atlantic Way.
We are part of a community of cafes Cork Character Cafes who, individually, live the story of Cork Food day in, day out and occasionally come together to showcase particular themes that personify Cork Food. In April we had Milleens Cheese Week. 16 cafes showcased this iconic cheese and celebrated its creator, Veronica Steele, who passed away earlier this year with special dishes, tastings, pairings and stories. Follow the Cork Food Story here.
Across the year, we love to wow you by creating food hampers that look beautiful and give a lasting taste experience of Ireland. Our hampers are seasonally tailored to reflect seasonal themes and special occasions. Do pop in each month to see what is in season. The first half of 2017 will feature Energising & Wellbeing Giftpacks; St. Valentine's Day Gifts; Mothers Day presents; St. Patricks Day Irish themed goodies and lots of chocolate for Easter. All hampers will showcase the best of creative Irish food and culinary crafts.
At the end of 2016, we had a very successful "Pre-Loved Kitchen Cupboard Charity Sale". Between the sale and our customer coin boxes, we gathered and shared €2,000 amongst 10 local community groups in Bandon and West Cork. Congratulations and thank you to our customers, the Urru team and all our supporters in making it such a success. You can drop your spare coins for 2017 into the community boxes by each till.
Have a look for some inspiration.
