Cork Character Cafes Lunch, Nano Nagle Place Cork City, Saturday 19 August 2017, 12.30pm and 2pm

Sold Out

Cork Character Cafes (CCC) is bringing a taste of West Cork to Cork City for a day. On Cork Heritage Open Day, Saturday 19 August 2017, three of the region's renowned cafes - The Stuffed Olive, Bantry; Lettercollum Kitchen Project, Clonakilty and Urru Culinary Store, Bandon - will team up with the new Nano Nagle Place (NNP) in Douglas Street, Cork City to host a summer lunch in the original, now renovated, convent parlour overlooking the new terraced gardens.

The original inspiration for the lunch stemmed from the community first communion and confirmation feasts that the Presentation Sisters hosted in the convent. The experience will be based on a  traditional summer sharing lunch while showcasing the current abundance of foods, producers and hospitality that can be found in West Cork's cafes. Lettercollum's own grown produce, The Stuffed Olive's summer baking, Urru's larder of local foods and drinks,  will all feature, as well as experts from the West Cork food community hosting individual tables (4 sharing tables of 10 in each sitting).

The menu will be confirmed by the start of August. Special dietary needs should be noted in the note section when booking to ensure we give you the best lunch experience.

Bookings can be made now here or in Urru and The Stuffed Olive.

Each booking will include an optional guided tour of Nano Nagle Place after lunch.

The lunch is being supported by Taste Cork.
