About Urru

We want to stimulate and facilitate the re-discovery of the pleasure and benefits of home cooking & baking for families by finding easy, affordable ways of incorporating local, clean, tasty food into all of our daily lives.

We are conviction led in terms of what we offer and how we are part of our community. We see our role as providing a quality platform for producers of real foods that shoppers can access day-in, day-out and to do that effectively we are constantly evolving with our customers and producers to offer new products and services.

Urru is actively involved in Slow Food, Good Food Ireland and our local markets. We work together with other local businesses and support many of our customers’ community efforts.

In 2011 Urru opened a greengrocer next door to the culinary store bringing the best of local, fresh, clean fruit & vegetable produce to Bandon. Urru also won a Good Food Ireland Highly Commended award for Best Local Food Shop in 2011/12
